THE Birkenhead and District Parks Team had a crushing victory over Warwickshire on Sunday.

They had 12 winners at home and 10 away giving them a 29-02 win.

So far with two very dominant wins the Birkenhead team have shown themselves to be a very strong outfit and they seem very likely to qualify for the final stages of the competition.

In the home tie on the Port Sunlight Works and Village green they had 12 winners with Nick Burridge, 21-03, and Brian Somerville, 21-06 recording single figure scores.

Away in Sutton Coldfield they had 10 winners with the best performances being by Liam McEgan, 21-04 and Jamie Smith, 21-07.

Their final match in the qualifying stage next month against the strong South Yorkshire squad should be very exciting.

Sadly the Wallasey team will not be qualifying for the final stages even though on Sunday they had the narrowest of wins over Central Lancashire.

In the home match on West Kirby Victoria's green in Ashton Park they had nine winners with Steve Scott's 21-08 the pick of the bunch and they won by 242 to 195.

Away at New Street BC in Littleborough they had 3 winners, best result was Peter McGregor's 21-11 win, and they lost by 235 to 189. This gave a final result of 431 - 430 to Wallasey and meant that they won 17-14.
