Tixall win Sunday Flyers for second week in a row

FOR the second week running a Tixall player was the winner at the Sunday Flyers.

This week Jamie Fitzpatrick took himself into the top sixteen in the points table when he defeated Our Lady's Joe Edwards in the final.

In the quarters Fitzpatrick beat Quarry Viking's John Cosgrove, a player whose consistency has seen him pick up points every Sunday he has played, and he he was then too good for Tony Cavanagh.

Meanwhile Edwards having just scraped through his quarter final match against Pete Smith got the better of Lever's Dougie Briscoe in the semis.

In reaching his second final Edwards showed the improvement he is making but he found, like so many other players have, Fitzpatrick's relentless accuracy a little bit too much to cope with and the Tixall player ran out a fairly comfortable winner.
