SAILING: Strong turnout for River Mersey tournament

LIVERPOOL Yacht Club/Tranmere Sailing Club had a 16-strong turnout for the fourth round of their Early Autumn Series on the River Mersey on Sunday.
It was pleasant going for the crews in sunny conditions.
Class A on corrected times was claimed by Jonathan Oliver in Eezee Tiger.
Bada Bing (A Farrell and A Napper) was runner-up with Daydream Believer (J.Cartwright) third.
Paul Hampson in Magic Moments took top position in Class B with Ragtime IV (D Martin and G Whittaker) second and Di Rich (A McKenna) third.
The series continues this Sunday with a 9am start.
