Epic finish for Hilbre in Wirral Schools Cup Final

VICTORIOUS: Hilbre with their trophy
HILBRE came out victorious in an epic final that flowed from end to end and was full of goals and chances, with no team taking full control in the game.
Hilbre struck first, with Joe Lamb shooting them to an early two goal lead.
This was quickly nulified by an attacking Pensby team that reveresed the score 2-3.
In an exciting first half, Joe Lamb again scored to make it 3-3 at the break.
The second half continued in the same vain, this time with Pensby scoring first making it 3-4, followed by a Hilbre equaliser, 4-4.
Hilbre scored the next goal and looked good for the trophy but with just two minutes remaining, Pensby pulled it back yet again to level the score at 5-5 and set up extra-time.
With the players from both teams tiring, Hilbre took the advantage making the score 7-5 but Pensby pulled it back to 7-6 to set up a nervy last five minutes.
Hilbre eventually came out as victors in a game that was described by officials as one of the best Wirral Cup finals seen at Prenton Park.
