WALLASEY RBL ‘B’ surprised their neighbours and current Division three leaders, Manor Road ‘C’, with a fine team performance to win the Wallasey CGBA Association Cup Final at Magazine Bowling Club’s excellent green on Saturday.

Jim Hulican had a good 21-09 win for Manor Road but this was matched by Wallasey's Captain, Chad Mitchell, and at the end of play Wallasey had won by just 14 shots, 224 to 210.

In the Wallasey Leagues the Division One leaders are now West Kirby Victoria with a very slight advantage over Queens Royal.

In the second Division Harrison Park lead the way but Wallasey RBL in second place have played a game less.

Manor Road 'C' have established a good lead in the Third Division with Royden Hall following them.

The 'A' Division of the Bebington and District sees Tixall with a good lead but Oxton Cons in second place have a game in hand over the leaders.

In the 'B' Division Levers’B’ (21 points) are ahead of three other teams, Pensby, Cheshire Cheese and Bromborough Recs (all on 17 points). Pensby ‘B’ are the only undefeated team in the Bebington leagues and they head the 'C' Division with Thingwall 'B' in second place.

Tixall are still undefeated and currently have a big lead over their rivals in the first Division of the Birkenhead and District Leagues.

It is much closer in the second Division where Royden Hall are top but only one point ahead of Harrison Park who have played one game fewer. Tixall 'B' have also established a big lead in Division three over Pensby and West Kirby Park while Cammell Laird are leading the way in Division four.
