Motormen offer readers once in a lifetime chance to join the team

VAUXHALL Motors FC are giving supporters the chance to join their first team squad for the 2009/2010 season by auctioning a squad place.

Chairman Alan Bartlam said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to feel like part of Carl Macauley's squad in a season that promises so much at the Motassist Arena.

"This idea has been used by other clubs such as AFC Telford and it will be very interesting to see how it develops."

The winning bidder will receive the following for the 2009/2010 season.

Registration as an official member of the Vauxhall Motors FC 2009/2010 squad and the winner will receive a copy of their Conference North Player Registration form.

Recognition as a squad member all season via the Player's sponsors page and the squad list both in the match day programme.

Inclusion in the Vauxhall Motors FC Team Photo for 2009/2010.

This really is a once in a lifetime experience for any fan of the Motormen.

The winner will be the highest bid received by the closing date of Friday July 17.

In what promises to be an exciting pre-season friendly, Vauxhall entertain League One side Stockport County on Wednesday July 22, 7.15pm kick-off.

This fixture was part of the transfer deal that took former goalkeeper Lloyd Rigby to Edgeley Park last year.

Another player has decided to move on to pastures new as midfielder James Holden has decided to join newly promoted Welsh Premier side Bala Town.

Holden arrived at Vauxhalls last summer following an unsuccessful trial at Barrow FC and turned out to be a key figure in Carl Macauley’s side last season playing 41 games and scoring three goals.
