THE auctioning of a British & Irish Lions rugby shirt signed by Lions legend and HSBC Ambassador Gavin Hastings, was a highlight of Caldy Rugby Club’s Minis Section end of season ball on Friday night.

Over 200 people celebrated the achievements of the club's six age groups ranging from under seven to under 12, during the event at Thornton Hall Hotel.

With over of 250 children in the club's Minis Section, a trophy laden campaign for 2008/9 included triumphs in the Cheshire Cup and rugby festivals across the North West and North Wales.
