THE weather once again took its toll on the CWFL with 10 games falling by the wayside due to waterlogged pitches.

One game survived the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division and it was a nine-goal thriller between Franklyn’s and Ellesmere Port Town A.

Franklyn's came away with all three points, thanks to strikes from Nana Enah (2), Steve Rothwell (2) and Sam McLachan.

Connor Howley (2), Mike Large and Reece Sharrock replied for the Port.

Upton are now just two points of top place in the CWFL Olympic Trophies Division One after a fine 5-2 win over Hoole Rangers.

Jay Wong put in a man of the match performance and assisted in goals for Joe Williams (4) and Danny Evans as they claimed all three points.

Andy Johnson and Mark Brown replied for Hoole. Chester Argyle recorded their first win since November, beating Princes Villa 3-1 with goals from Jack Joinson, Zach Caveney and Jamie Smith.

Nick Smith and Johnny Plattern were the scorers for Chester Nomads III who beat Blacon Youth Reserves 2-1.

Chris Ingell and Adam Kightley were both on target for Malpas Reserves in their CWFL Link Up Division Two clash with Upton Bears Paw.

Sadly for Malpas it was not enough as they went down 6-2.

Tom Wilkinson (2) and Stu Drury hit the net for Orange Athletic in their 3-1 win over Hoole Youth.

Neston Nomads Vets travelled across the border to meet Shotton Vets in the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division One, returning home with all the points after a hard=fought 3-2 victory.

Trevor Worsley netted a brace and Richie Deponeo a third for Neston with Paul Whittaker and Paul Duncan repling for Shotton.

Nags Head Bunbury Vets remain top of CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division Two after a 4-3 win over Frodsham Park Vets.

Adie Smith (2), Jim Crosby and Martin Bebington fired home for Nags Head with Tony Rodgers, Ritchie Dalton and John Barton scoring for Frodsham.

Andy Evans netted a consolation for Dee Rangers Vets as they went 3-1 down to Tarvin Vets.

In CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division Three Hartford Vets and Crossway Vets shared the points with their game finishing 2-2 after full time. Danny Brown and Ben Smith were the Crossway marksmen.

In the Runcorn District FA Cup Elton Athletic beat Duddon Utd 7-1.

In the CWFL Monday Night 11s Chester Division AFC Chester remain top after seeing off Clubbies 5-1.

Newton Athletic move into second place after a fine 4-0 win over Balfour Beatty.

In the CWFL Monday Night 11s Ellesmere Port Division Wirral Utd stay top after beating West Kirby Utd 2-0.

CWFL Friday Night 11s action now and River Juniors made it six wins from six in the Ellesmere Port Division, beating El Porto 3-2.

Second-placed Trav's could only muster a 1-1 draw with CBP and Waverton had a fine 3-1 win over FC River.

At the CWFL Friday Night 11s Woodchurch Division Wirral Allstars are the early pace setters as they beat CF Raumdeuter 1-0.

In the night's other game Tipographic beat AC Hoylake 3-1.
