Tranmere Rovers' striker named National League player of the month
TRANMERE Rovers' star striker Connor Jennings has been named Vanarama National League player of the month for December.
In four league appearances during the calendar month, Jennings netted six goals for Rovers with doubles against AFC Fylde and Guiseley and single strikes against Torquay United and Sutton United.
Reflecting on his recent run of goals the 26-year-old said: "It has been a good month for me.
"I've enjoyed getting on the scoresheet, which I expect myself to do a bit more.
"It was a good month for me, but more importantly it was a good month for the team getting the four victories."
In a brief statement, the club said: "We extend our congratulations to Connor on picking up this award".
