DIVISION One leaders Clubbies AFC faced Division Two counterparts Ellesmere Port FC Reserves in Roodee Web Designs TGMT Trophy's first round on Saturday.

It was the side from the Port who progress after securing a brilliant 4-0.

Fellow Ellesmere Port side, Sutton Athletic also move into round two at the expense of a Chester side.

They dispatched Upton Bears Paw 3-0.

League action now and in the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division Christleton Celtic and Newton Athletic took a share of the spoils after an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Higher Bebington Kelma beat Ellesmere Port Town A by the odd goal in seven.

MBNA beat Ellesmere Port FC, Niall Evans, 4-1.

Shaftesbury Youth took all the points in their game after ESSAR failed to raise a side.

There were goals galore in the CWFL Olympic Trophies Division One with a total of 42 being scored across five games.

Top scorers in the division were Cestrian Alex with a fine 10-2 win over Princes Villa.

St Saviours beat Blacon Youth 9-2.

Hoole Rangers beat Chester Argyle 6-1.

Upton JFC had a great result, beating second-placed Elton Athletic 4-3.

Helsby Reserves look to be getting used to life in Division One with a 3-2 win over Chester Nomads III.

The day's top-scorers though were Malpas Reserves of the CWFL Link Up Division Two.

They travelled to Saughall Colts to record a whopping 15-3.

Hoole Youth travelled to Beehive and came home with a share of the points after their game finished 1-1.

Rossmore Rangers beat neigh- bours Princes Villa Reserves 4-1 in their local derby game.

Avenue Vets of the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division One re- turned to league action in style with a convincing 7-2 win over Mersey Royal Vets.

The CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division Three kicked off this weekend with all six teams taking part in games.

Capenhurst Villa Vets enjoyed a fine 6-1 win over Mostyn Vets. Farndon Vets edged a 4-3 win over Ellesmere Port Town Vets.

Crossway Vets beat Hartford Vets, Andy Rice, 3-1.

On Saturday, the CWFL Representative side take on the Cheshire Football League 11 for a place in Round Two of the FA National Inter League Cup Competition.

The game is a 3pm kick off and will be played at Kirkland's, home of Cammell Laird 1907 FC.

Entrance is £3 and all supporters are welcome.

The CWFL 11 will be made up from players of teams covering all divisions and will be managed by Vernon Keep.

It's been a busy week in the CWFL with games taking place across all our divisions.

Friday brought about the return of our CWFL Friday Night 11s division at Ellesmere Port Sports Vil- lage and UCEA.

In a newly-revamped league, CBP entertained newcomers North West Brom, netting four times without reply.

In the night's other game M&S Finance beat Chester Lions 4-1.

The Monday Night 11s returned in Ellesmere Port this week, with Wirral Utd hosting new comers Ship Argyle.

A further Division has been set up at Blacon High's new £700k facility, with games kicking off there next Monday.
