TRANMERE Rovers' national league promotion push continues with a crucial match against Barrow tonight.

Victory could take Micky Mellon's team to top of the national league table, dependent on results elsewhere.

Micky Mellon's side are just three points behind leaders Lincoln City, who are in action against Braintree Town at the same time.

Rovers' manager Micky Mellon praised his team's spirit and determination in an interview on the club's website.

He said: "The group we have will give us everything they've got and it's great to have that in your dressing room.

"Tranmere fans know that the players will fight for them until the very end and we'll keep going."

The manager will able to call upon the services of attacker Connor Jennings, who has returned to Prenton Park after a month on loan with Macclesfield Town.

Mellon continued: "Connor Jennings has come back which is a great boost for us.

"Everybody can see now why we sent him on loan, because we needed him to be fit and firing.

"So he's got some games under his belt with Macclesfield and now he comes back into the group when we need him."
