TRANMERE Rovers' striker James Norwood has been named national league player of the year in the Northwest Football Awards.
He was nominated for 21 goals during the last season.
During a ceremony at the Emirates Old Trafford, the club also received the best club sponsorship and fan engagement campaign award for its #SWA2 ticketing initiative.
The scheme allows under-privileged people in the local community to attend matches at Prenton Park.
It began at the beginning of last season with a couple of supporters donating season tickets to good causes and has grown with help from Tranmere Rovers Official Supporters Club, Tranmere Rovers Trust, local businesses and individual donations.
