Tranmere Rovers and Liverpool begin their preparations for the 2016-17 season tonight at Prenton Park in a pre-season friendly.
The Rovers sides will feature the new signings and the core of last season's squad which ended last term strongly.
It will be the first chance to see new additions Connor Jennings, Andy Cook, Jeff Hughes and Darren Stephenson in action in Tranmere colours.
It will also be the first chance to see the players wearing the new Puma home kit.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be missing the players who have been away on international duty this summer, but that still leaves a strong squad at his disposal.
New signings Loris Karius, Joel Matip and Sadio Mane could all make their Reds' debuts at Prenton Park this evening.
Their squad is also boosted by the return of Mario Balotelli and Lazar Markovic from their loan spells, plus the likes of Alberto Moreno, Lucas Leiva, Jon Flanagan, Dejan Lovren, Danny Ings and Roberto Firmino all set to be involved.
