REPRESENTING the Carlsberg West Cheshire League, Division Two promotion outsiders Ashville pulled off a performance to remember when they lifted the Cheshire County FA's Amateur Cup, following Friday's tense final against Stockport Georgians at Vauxhall Motors.

A thumping Darren Pritchard header from Lee Healey’s flag kick sealed the issue on 62 minutes and the Wallasey outfit were further indebted to a superb second-half save from Aiden Dickinson, which spurred them on to an excellent result.

After trailing 1-0 to Heswall in midweek, Division One leaders South Liverpool showed what it takes to become champions after they hit back in style to post a 7-1 triumph.

Kevin Fields bagged the game’s only goal as Capenhurst Villa triumphed at Helsby, while Callum Holmes followed suit as Mossley Hill Athletic pocketed maximum spoils from their trip to Newton.

Congratulations to Richmond Raith Rovers who were crowned Division Two champions on Saturday despite being held 2-2 by third-placed challengers Redgate Rovers.
