POULTON Vics Youth collected the Youth Division Cup following a 3-1 success over Oldershaw Athletic.

It was a very even affair that was decided by an own goal and efforts from Brad Greer and Jacob McLaughlin, with Jack Beggs replying for Athletic, Jordan Dilworth was man of the match for Vics and Athletic had Nathan Williams as their most impressive payer.

Premier Division action saw Woodchurch United close the gap at the top when sinking Ship Wallasey 9-0 thanks to trebles from Dave Lee and Ben Kearney, with Dave Gates, Graham Reid and Paul Casey adding singles.

Wallasey Oval’s 4-1 win over Upton FC sees them now joint top of Division One as Sam Hunt fired a hat-trick and Oliver Bradley a single in a strong team effort, but Grange Hearts stay in the race following their 4-2 defeat of Clarence FC (Stuart Pritchard and Tony Kendrick) due to a brace from Jamie Rice and singles from Jack Bradley and Tony Lanphier.

Liver View dropped vital points in their 2-2 draw with AFC Tima who had Mike Redgrift as a two-goal hero.

Primrose won an eight-goal battle against Cavendish as Mike Jones (two), Kyle Pritchard, Connor Gardner and Wayne Carter found the net, with Declan Taylor (two) and Josh Hatton bagging the responses.

Lord Nelson shared six goals with Upton Town as they drew 3-3 in Division Two thanks to a Jordan Griffiths double and a single from Jason Rigby, with Tom Bladen firing a brace in response and Lewis Hallam a single in an end-to- end affair.

Halfway House shared the points with Wallasey Mens in a 1-1 draw as James Maddocks scored, and Ben Speed notched a hat-trick for JASGA PV as they beat Eastham Rangers 4-3.

Mike Scullion added the fourth and on target for Rangers were Joe Skinner (two) and Callum Crowther.
