TRANMERE Rovers manager Gary Brabin says his squad is ready to take the fight for a place in the play-offs to the bitter end

Rovers' promotion push was left hanging by a thread after defeat by old foes Wrexham in a fierce derby at Prenton Park on Saturday.

They face Eastleigh in an away match this Saturday and bring their National League campaign to a close at home against Grimsby a week later, April 30.

With two games left, there is all to play for and pressure is on.

In an interview on the club's website, Brabin said: "We want to get maximum points from the last two games.

"We know what's at stake, we can just take the next game which is Eastleigh, who are a team like ourselves vying for a play-off position.

"There will be plenty of changes in terms of league positions between now and the end of the season.

"Hopefully we can get maximum points and make a big difference.

"It's not as easy as looking at a fixture list and saying they'll win there and there.

"There's teams fighting for their lives to stay in the league, some teams respond better when there's no pressure and there's the sides who are battling for the play-off places.

"There's still a positive mood amongst the camp and there's a lot still to play for.

"There's still a lot of confidence and character in the squad, and a lot of belief."
