TRANMERE Rovers have signed full-back Lee Vaughan until the end of the season after his contract with Cheltenham Town was cancelled.
He came to Prenton Park on loan from The Robins at the end of November and has made the position his own with eight appearances so far for the club.
As a youngster, Vaughan came through the Academy system at his home-town club Birmingham City before joining Portsmouth, Walsall, AFC Telford United and Kidderminster Harriers.
The 29-year-old joined Cheltenham in the summer of 2014 and made more than 40 appearances for the Gloucestershire club, including 11 at the beginning of this season.
Manager Gary Brabin said of the signing: "Lee is an experienced defender and has settled into the squad very well since his arrival in November.
"He gives us plenty of energy down the right flank and I’m really pleased that we've been able to prolong his stay here at Prenton Park."
