Second half saw Triton extend their lead with a goal converted from open play early on. But Oxton battled hard, and their dogged determination was soon rewarded by a goal, Kate burrows feeding into Jules Armstong who slotted it past the keeper, to keep the game alive.
Deep into the second half, and much to the delight of the home side, Oxton drew level, with a fantastic passage of play.
It looked like the score line was to reflect the nature of the game.
But it was not to be Oxton's day.
After a quick turnover, Triton capitalized upon a loose ball and managed to sneak back into the lead and take the full 3 points with only minutes of the match left to play.
Final score: 3-2.
