TRANMERE Rovers' manager Gary Brabin is aiming for a return to winning ways when his squad face Aldershot Town at Prenton Park on Tuesday night.

The match - one of two this week - follows their televised 1-1 draw against Grimsby on Friday.

They face Cheltenham in an away game on Saturday.

Assessing tomorrow's opponents during a press conference at Prenton Park this afternoon, Brabin said: "They are a hardworking side and are getting some good results.

"They are a former league club and have responded well so far, this season. They have got some good players and few we need to watch."

On his squad's performance, Brabin said: "We are seeing signs of improvement

"We're looking to get back to winning ways. It's about getting our game in order.

"Defensively, we are okay and working hard.

"We know where we need to be and I don't think we're a million miles away. We're in a good place.

"It's always difficult when you've got a new group of players."

On-loan striker Nathan Blissett came up with the second-half equaliser in Friday night's televised game as Tranmere again battled back to claim an away point.

After coming from two down to draw 2-2 at Southport in midweek, substitute Blissett scored his first goal for Rovers just three minutes after coming on.

Grimsby had led through Jon-Paul Pittman's ninth-minute right-foot shot.
