Tranmere's rock solid support in the National League continues with the club having sold all 1,500 away tickets for tonight's match against Southport.

Rovers manager Gary Brabin is looking to build on the weekend success against Chester as he takes his side to his former club.

Rovers have no further injury concerns as they make the short journey to the Merseyrail Community Stadium this evening.

Southport currently sit in 23rd in the National League standings but Paul Carden's side have had a tough fixture list at the start of the season.

Carden is hoping that striker Andy Bishop can shake off an injury which caused him to miss Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Forest Green Rovers.

Former Tranmere defender Josh Thompson is available after serving a suspension but fellow ex-Rovers player Andrai Jones misses out with the final match of a four-game ban.

Rovers coach James Quinn said: "We know about Southport, we know Paul Carden very well and we know what his team with come out with on Tuesday.

"They'll be aggressive and play on the front foot.

"They've had a really difficult start to the season in terms of the fixtures, but they'll be lifted by this game and there will be a good crowd for them to play in front of so it's going to be another tough game for us.

"But our boys know that, and we have enough experience to know what is going to come at us so hopefully we can deal with that."

The game is the first time the two clubs has met in the league since January 1976.
