BIRKENHEAD Town retain top spot in the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division after a 5-0 win at Uberlube.

Lache FC recorded the second win of their stop start season with a 4-0 away win at Ellesmere Port FC thanks to a Warren Kelly brace, Matty Tarbuck and Leon Whitley.

Dan O'Callaghan (2) and Declan Jarrett were the scorers for Deva Athletic as they overcame Christleton Celtic 3-0.

Danny Smith hit the winner for Shaftesbury Youth in their game at Kelsall whilst Whitby Athletic went goal crazy at the expense of Hoole Rangers.

Andy Merner lead the way with five, followed by Steve Rothwell (3), Cory Bevan (3), Jamie Weaver, Jamie Atkins and Josh Wonderley.

Ashton enjoyed their first win of the season after securing a 3-2 win over Cestrian Alex, who had Matty Gilmore and Adi Gough on target, in the CWFL Olympic Trophies Division One.

Dave Swain, Jay Shaw and Rob Gittens all hit home for Franklyn’s in their 3-0 away win at Chester Nomads III.

Tom Fellows, Craig Pritchard and a Joe Waters hat trick were enough for Lodge Bar II to see them to a comfortable 5-2 win over Elton Athletic.

An 85th minute winner by Lewis Davenport for Newton Athletic was all that separated the sides in their clash with Neston Nomads Reserves.

Woodchurch Athletic produced the goods with a 6-0 win over FC Blacon thanks to goals from Danny Kelly 3, Andy O'Conner, Robbie Dean and Lee Sample.

In the CWFL Link Up Division Two Samba made it five from five with an 8-1 win over Eastham Athletic.

John Britton was the top marksman with six, followed by Christian Grey and James Abraham.

Lee Stevenson hit the consolation for Eastham.

Crossway recorded their first win of the season with an 8-0 win at Elton Rigger. New Ferry Rangers remain unbeaten with a 4-1 win at Ellesmere Port Town III with goals courtesy of Adam Bagley 3 and Lee Goldie – Smith.

Clubbies' impressive form continues. They travelled to Ellesmere Port Spartans where goals from James Simpson, Chris Hulse, Jake Johnson and Adam Ellis gave them a 5-2 win to keep them in second place in the division.

Next week sees the inaugural games taking place in the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division.

This new division will see the CWFL welcome both new and old clubs into the competition.
