A RAMPANT Kent FC turned on the style at the weekend and were confirmed as Wirral Sunday League's Division One champions for the first time, after a man of the match performance from Scott Parkinson sparked a 5-0 victory over Riverside.

Deposed champions, Neston Nomads may well have forfeited the runners-up medals, after they fell victim to a solitary penalty from Telegraph's Kyle Williams.

Prior to Sunday's defeat, Nomads were in action in midweek and celebrated a 7-0 win against Grace Arms, thaks to efforts from Rob Marrs (2), Jay Roberts (2), Mike Burkey, Dean Jones and player manager Lee Cairns.

Darren Eaton plundered both goals for Woodchurch Rovers on Sunday morning, but it was visitors, Grace Arms, who profited after doubles from Mark Roberts and Stuey Jones sealed a 4-2 triumph.

The race for the Division Two title was kept on the boil after current leaders, Wallasey Athletic won 3-1 against Star Ozzys, highlighted by a hat-trick from Tom Price which included a spectacular effort from the half way line.

Nearest rivals Port Sunlight put luckless MSC Eastham to the sword and had four-goal Danny Nettleton in top form in Sunday's 10-2 victory.

Connor Westbury's smart double helped Victoria Colts Seniors achieve a 2-2 stalemate with Bronze who had Lee Moon (2) in reply.

The Senior Cup final takes place this Friday evening, May 1, between Port Sunlight and Division Two title rivals Wallasey Athletic at Cammell Laird, 7pm.

The same venue provides the backdrop for Sunday's Pyke Cup final, involving the holders, Kent FC, and newcomers, Grace Arms, 6pm kick off.
