FANS are being urged to help Tranmere Rovers "Fight to the Finish" with coach prices being reduced for the make-or-break journey to Plymouth on Saturday.

The club and Tranmere Rovers Trust are subsidising the trip for supporters, with up to five coaches travelling to Home Park at a discount price of £10.

The fixture could scarcely hold more importance for Tranmere.

Rovers could be heading for a League Football exit if they loose and results elsewhere go against them.

Chairman Mark Palios said: "Our fans have been turned out in numbers on the road this season and we're grateful for the fantastic backing they've given the team.

"We hope to see another good turnout at Plymouth on Saturday for what is another huge match for the club.

"We thank Tranmere Rovers Trust for their help with subsidising the coaches.

"It's another example of the closer working relationship the trust has with the club and how we can work together for the benefit of the fans."

Supporters reached the end of their tether last Saturday and rounded on boss Micky Adams after Tranmere crashed to a 3-0 defeat by Oxford at Prenton Park.

On Sunday, the 53-year-old had departed "by mutual consent" leaving with the club at the bottom of League Two.

It was a new low for Rovers in a season conspicuously lacking many highs.

Rob Edwards was sacked as manager in October last year after a disastrous run of form that saw the club sink to the foot of the football league.

He got the tap on the shoulder after Tranmere suffered their seventh defeat of their campaign - perhaps in an ominous coincidence - by Plymouth.

Just a week later Edwards was followed out the door by chief executive Jeremy Butler who left by "mutual agreement."

Now Alan Rogers and Shaun Garnett have taken charge of first team affairs for the final two games of the season.

Rogers said: "Our focus is moving forward and on the Plymouth game, to get a solid week's training, get the base right, tweak a few things and we'll go to Plymouth to try and win the game.

"The fans have been unbelievable.

"The club's been in decline for a long time and they've suffered.

"Our hope is give them something to cling onto at Plymouth.

"They deserve better than what they're seeing, but hopefully we can perform a minor miracle and keep us in the league and then build on it.

"We've just got to try to stay in this league and live to fight another day."

Supporters are encouraged to book coach tickets online where there are no booking charges.

Those who have already purchased Plymouth coach tickets will have the difference refunded.
