MATCH-of-the-day was the Division Two cup final.

This was decided by two penalty strikes in a seven-minute period as Wallasey Oval's man-of-the-match Tom Ward converted both efforts to secure a hard earned 2-1 victory over a battling Vineyard team who pushed them all the way with 10 men for over 50 minutes.

Vineyard even-scored first through Matt Gill in the opening period and with their man of the match Kyle Hulse urging them on, they made a real game of it. 

But Oval delivered the knock out blows before half-time and had keeper Mykael Graham to thank for a last minute save to ensure the victory and the trophy.

Millhouse had to rely on a single goal from Joe Hewson to take the points away from Windsor in a 1-0 success in the Premier division that practically ensures the title for them.

Division One cup semi-finals saw Clarence win a tense 4-3 game versus Upton FC who took the game to extra time with goals from Nick Jones-2 and Mike Large, but efforts from Tony Kendrick, Stuart Pritchard, Gary Fletcher and an extra period winner from John Mills put Clarence into the final.

They will meet AM Plant Hire who sunk Ship Wallasey 3-2 as Adam Baxter, Dan Costall and Kris Woo found the net and bagging the responses were John Pomphrett and Lee Hammond in a great game.

Wallasey Town progressed from the 3rd round of the Dutchman Cup due to Sam Courtenay and Sam Hunt netting a brace apiece as they beat Cavendish 4-1, with Jamie McGregor notching the lone response.

Also through are Parkview who beat Grange Hearts 3-2 as Dale Atherton, Jordan Griffiths and Bill Williams scored, with Dave Walmsley and Stuart Toner hitting the replies.

Goals from Matty Ryan and Alex Woods earned Eastham Rangers a share of the spoils in the 2-2 draw with Nelson Grove in division Two but Sandbrook lost to Matrix 5-2.

Manor Youth completed their league campaign with a 2-1 success over title chasers West Kirby Wasps in the Dundee Youth division as Ben McLachlan and Liam Astles fired home and Heswall Youth claimed a 4-2 victory over Neston Nomads thanks to Jamie Major-2, Bayleigh Sherlock and Will Sara-Kelly scoring.

AFC Liverpool were awarded the points against Upton Town due to their inability to field a team.

Two games in the Grove Youth division resulted in wins for Shore Villa, as they ended Allport Hawks season with a 3-0 defeat with Sam Locke-2 and Mike Armand getting the goals and also Glenavon clipped the wings of Beechwood Falcons as they won 3-2.

On target for Glenavon were Sean McAdam, Jack Larson and Luke Dion and bagging the replies were Max Lee and Jordan Dilworth.

Shaftesbury Youth were awarded the points against Malvern due to their inability to field a team and they close the gap on the leaders.
