TRANMERE Rovers coach wants a repeat of the performance that conquered table-toppers Shrewsbury Town when they travel to Portsmouth tomorrow night.
Alan Rogers said during a press conference at Prenton Park this afternoon: "It's a league game and we're going there to win.
"It's our game in hand and we're going there in a very positive frame of mind.
"Portsmouth are a decent side. They were down towards the bottom end of the table and have had a decent run.
"The lads are confident after Saturday and are going to try and get a result.
"It's going to be a full house and we've got to nullify the opposition and let our players get out there and win the game."
Rogers was full of praise for Rory Donnelly's performance agianst the Shrews: "He's a good player. He works hard in training and is getting the rewards with his goals.
"He has no fear; he's quick and gets right into the game.
"The lads knew their game had dropped agaisnt York last week and put that right on Saturday.
"We got the right reaction from the players, the fans could see that.
"There were a lot of questions asked of the players after the York game and they have been answered.
"We will take that on board to Portsmouth."
