SAILING: Severe weather means Wirral tournament is postponed
SEVERE weather conditions creating travelling and other problems led to the postonement of university team racing on the Marine Lake at West Kirby at the weekend.
The British Universities Sailing event in Firefly dinghies will now be hosted by West Kirby Sailing Club on the reserve date of February 14/15.
Eighteen teams are due to take part and the top four will go forward to the next stage of the championship at Northampton later in the year.
