JAMES Harris was the goal hero for Great Float S&S as they washed away Dock AFC 3-1 in the third round of the Wirral FA Premier Cup.

He plundered all three goals in a great team display and they remain the lone standard bearer in the competition.

Millhouse edged to the top of the Premier division when securing a point in the hard fought 2-2 draw with old rivals Poulton Royal, thanks to Tom Quinn and James Clare scoring, with Tom Carroll bagging a great double for the responses.

Wirral FA Amateur Cup third round results saw Ship Wallasey sail to victory over PSV Athletic by winning by the odd goal in nine as Kyle Birch, Ron Boyd-3 and a late John Pomphrett winner earned them a 5-4 success.

Also through are Black FC who edged home 2-1 versus Farmers Arms due to Stuart Speed and Steve Rutherford scoring. Not so lucky were AM Plant Hire who lost to Half Way House.

A goal apiece from Adam Chadwick, Jay Palmer and Andy Nolan gave Shippons a 3-0 victory over Clarence FC in division One and FC Victoria eased home 5-1 versus Upton FC (Sean Walker) as Dezza Edwards-2, Daren Graham-2 and Alan Craig found the net to keep them in the top four.

Plenty of goals came in division Two as Wallasey Town romped home 10-3 against Eastham Rangers (Sean Williams, Mark McMahon & Luke Kieran) thanks to Ben Speed (3) and Tom Freeman (2) getting the lions share of the goals

Also into double figures were Parkview who overwhelmed Cavendish 11-5, with the main scorers being Paul Williams (4), Jordan Griffiths (3) and Ray Hoey (2).

Still top are Wallasey Oval who beat Olympic Rangers 4-2 due to Matty Hughes netting a treble and Andy Beaver claiming a single.

Range Hearts beat Vineyard 2-0 and Sandbrook also beat Nelson Grove 2-0. The only draw came between Matrix and Poulton Vics as John Williams and Carl O'Keefe netted for Vics.

Glenavon received a walk over in the Youth divisions Cup due to the resignation of Upton Youth and Gayton JFC needed a penalty shoot out to beat Neston Nomads (Sean Hayward) after the game ended 1-1 after extra time.

Goals from Matty Toner and Steve Lynch gave Higher Beb a 2-1 win over Saints AFC and AC Hoylake beat Shore Villa (Stan Locke) 5-1 with efforts from Connor Walton-2, Jack McGrotty-2 and Rhys McGill.

Topping the Dundee youth division are AFC Liverpool after their hard earned 3-2 win away at Ashville (Kiern Hamm-2) thanks to Brandon Thomas, Callum Morrison and Tom Breslan scoring.

Upton Town (Matty Hughes) drew 1-1 with Victoria Colts (Peter Monroe) and West Kirby Wasps stung Heswall (Jamie Major) 2-1.

Liam Astles' hat-trick allied to a single from Isaac Gilbert gave Manor Youth a 4-1 verdict over Cammell Laird 1907.

In the Grove youth division Beechwood Falcons soared to a 7-1 win over Allport Hawks (Ripley Devanny) but Princes Villa shared the spoils with Malvern FC in a 3-3 encounter, in which Connor McEvoy (2) and Peter Davies netted for Malvern and hitting the responses were Connor Waterfield (2) and Josh Whelan.
