GREAT Float S&S continued their fine form in the Cheshire FA Cup second round whilst keeping Pockets empty handed with a superb 2-0 success in which Rob Black James Harris claimed the important goals.

Division One action saw AM Plant Hire dig deep to move into second place when beating AFC Tima (Martin Dunn) 3-1, with a double strike by Kris Woo and a single effort from Mark Roberts, but still top are Champions Bar even though they drew 3-3 with Ship Wallasey, thanks to Carl Bell, Joel Nelson and Adam Bennett scoring.

Hitting the replies were Jack Hammond, Craig Bennett and Kyle Birch in a very even affair.

A brace from Danny Holdsworth and a single from Dezza Edwards gave FC Victoria a 3-2 victory over Rockpark and efforts from Andy Nolan, Lewis Johansen and Sam Dooley earned Shippons the spoils in a 3-1 win over Upton FC.

The division Two Cup first round saw Liam Lavery notch a solitary goal in a 1-0 victory for Vineyard over Sandbrook and a Dan Murphy goal was enough for Nelson Grove to defeat Cavendish 1-0 also.

A Mark Cullimore double enabled Wallasey Town to beat Olympic Rangers 2-1 with Danny Payne notching the consolation and Wallasey Oval needed extra time to defeat Grange Hearts 3-1, as Olly Bradley, Dan Beaver and Andy Beaver found the net and Jack Noel bagged the only reply.

Shaftesbury Youth pushed Black FC all the way in the delayed Capitol Cup fixture but lost out 3-2, as Liam McCrellis and Shaun Chera netted their goals.

A goal apiece from Connor Davies and Joe Wingfield gave Glenavon a 2-0 win against Saints AFC in the Wirral FA Youth Cup second round, but not so lucky were Upton Town who lost 3-1 against Vauxhalls despite Scott Billington bagging a good effort.

The only league fixture in division Two saw a nine-goal thriller between Matrix and Poulton Vics that ended 5-4 to Matrix thanks to Tom Evans (2), Danny King, Andy Richardson and Nick Bott scoring, with Carl O'Keefe, Dan Speed, Mick Naylor and Colin O'Keefe netting the responses.

Goals from Ben Murphy, Matty Callaghan and George Welch gave Higher Beb JFC the points in the Dundee Youth division as they beat Heswall Youth 3-2 and a goal apiece from Jack Lloyd and Olly Thomas ensured Neston Nomads won 2-0 against Manor Youth.

Cammell Laird 1907 Youth got a hard earned 2-0 win over Ashville Youth, thanks to singles from Thimdong Suphot and Tom Jones and West Kirby Wasps were stung into victory by goals from Tom Johnstone-2, Ben Graham and Kieran Donoghue as they beat Victoria Colts 4-0.

In the Grove Youth division Princes Villa won the battle at the bottom as they flew past Allport Hawks, as Connor Waterfield netted twice and Kieran Smith once in a 3-1 win.

Gayton JFC went top of the division though when beating Malvern FC 4-2 thanks to Alex Hughes scoring a brace and Connor McCappin and Steve Halfhead both netted singles.

No luck in the National Cup as Millhouse lost 3-2 despite leading twice through Perrie Black and Jamie Quinn away to Home & Bargain.

Poulton Royal (Tom Carroll and Jay Thompson) also bowed out 3-2 against Campfield.
