MICK Andrews' great run at the Flyers finally came to an end when he was beaten in the semi final of this week's tournament by his team mate at Tixalls, Matt Gilmore.
Gilmore then went on to clinch the first prize by beating Tommy Lowndes of Ellesmere Port in the final.
Each week more players are turning up to play and it was a very good quarter final grouping of players.
Matt Gilmore had an excellent quarter final game with John Roberts, winning 21-16, before he beat Mick Andrews.
Meanwhile Tom Lowndes had a comfortable win over Sandridge's Josh Bunting before he had a very good win over another Tixall player, Jamie Fitzpatrick.
The final was close but Gilmore had the edge and won 21-17.
