STUDENTS from Wirral Taekwondo Academy returned from Glasgow with a cache of medals after taking part in the Scottish National Championships.
They competed against some of the best competitors from not only Scotland but from all the UK and won a massive 39 medals, consisting of 19 Golds, eight silvers and 12 bronze.
Gold medals were won by Anna Williams, Dylan Milne, Nathan Saunders, Sam Robertson, Ellie Pennington, Caine Small, Emily Small, Hannah Clements, Catherine Pearson, Lily Robertson, Ella Hims, Kia Morris and Richard Jones.
Speaking after the event, chief instructor Richard Saunders said: "All the students were exceptional, we have a great team spirit and the students support each whilst competing.
"To come back with so many gold's proves that all their hard work and preparation paid off.
"A special mention needs to go to Pensby student Sam Robertson who gained Triple Gold in patterns, sparring and team sparring."
