IT was an excellent day for the senior rugby union sides on Wirral with all four victorius.

A powerful three try finale earned Birkenhead Park a 43-15 success and a bonus point at the expense of Broughton Park in North One West.

Wirral just edged the verdict 34-33 at Morley in a tense but free scoring National Three North encounter. The winning Wirral score came in the last move with Ali Baker crossing wide out.

Morley seemed secure on 33-29 after a debatable penalty try in the 78th minute but never say die Wirral found the killer touch after taking a last scrummage against the head.

Baker also scored Wirral's fourth try.
