A DAY of cry-offs by match officials caused the loss of a number of games within the fixtures, but our thanks go to those who did attend and those who filled some of the vacancies.

Goals a plenty in the Dundee Youth division as Cammell Laird 1907 Youth launched their assault on the title race with a 5-1 defeat of Upton Youth (Jordan Taylor) that saw Josh Whelan, Cameron Leighton, Taylor Jones, Charlie Thomas and Tom Jones all on song.

Also 5-1 winners were Upton Town who showed Neston Nomads (Jack Lloyd) the way as Scott Billington-2, Chris Turk, Joe Murray and Jamie Clark scored and also hitting five were West Kirby Wasps as they overcame Higher Beb JFC 5-1, thanks to Declan Kinnear-2, Tom Ireland, Kieran Donaghue and Matty Thompson netting.

Sharing six goals were Ashville Youth (Joe Hamm, Lee Siddall & Kieran Hamm) and Heswall Youth in a 3-3 encounter, but top spot is now AFC Liverpool's after their 6-2 defeat of Manor Youth (Dean Trevitt & Alex Hatton) due to a treble from Calum Morrison and singles from Brandon Thomas, Sean Wright and Dion George.

Grove Youth division action also had plenty of goals as Beechwood Falcons eased 5-0 versus Saints AFC and Shaftesbury Youth defeated AFC Beb Athletic 7-3, with Louis McGillaway (2) and Cory Blaylock scoring for Athletic.

Matty Ingle was a five-goal hero for Malvern FC as they won a 12 goal thriller 8-4 against Allport Hawks (Liam Keating-2 & Ripley Devanney-2) with Dan Jackson, Connor McEvoy and Joe Swann adding the extras.

Two goals from Andy Morris and a single from Will O'Leary earned Gayton JFC a 3-0 away success at Shore Villa.

Champions Bar lead division One following their 5-1 win at Rockpark (Anthony Clarkson) thanks to singles from Jamie Rainford, Ashley Robinson, Sam Hughes, Jason Wilde and Carl Barker, but just a point behind are AM Plant Hire who beat Upton FC 3-1 with goals from Rob Bergwin, Adam Baxter and Eddie Astley. Despite Dan Walsh and Martin Dunn scoring for AFC Tima they went down 5-2 against Ship Wallasey.

Danny Holdsworth was a four-goal marksman for FC Victoria in their 5-3 win over Clarence, with Jamie Bateman adding the fifth and bagging the responses were Jay Lloyd, Gary Philp and Rob Allen.

Wallasey Oval retain top spot in division Two despite drawing 4-4 with Cavendish (Paul Wallace, Dan Tromans, Steve Menna & Leon Jones) thanks to a Dan Beaver double and singles from Ryan Foo and Matty Hughes.

Matrix beat Wallasey Town 3-1 with goals from Dan King, Josh Davies and Tom Evans and Olympic Rangers (Steve Teale & Kyle Dayton-Rogers) shared the spoils with Nelson Grove in a 2-2 draw as Connor Eccles and Ollie Taylor fired the replies.

Sandbrook dented the title hopes of Grange Hearts with a 5-4 success in which Terry Orange-2, Phil Bibby, Carl Maxwell and Dan Lecoko scored.

Jay Rice (2), Stuart Toner and Adam Maxwell netted for Grange. Poulton Vics beat Parkview (Dan Price and James Doolan) 5-2 with efforts from Aaron Cummins, Dan Speed, Chris Cousins and Carl O’Keefe-2.

Great Float came from 0-3 down to draw 3-3 with Black FC in the Premier division and Poulton Royal beat Primrose 8-2, as Sean Woods recorded a hat-trick.
