IN the Cheshire Sunday Cup Final, unlucky Woodchurch narrowly missed out on victory losing 3-2 to Cale Green, writes Graham Fisher.

In the David Tacy Cup third-round, Lions progressed to the next stage winning in extra time against Shaft’s thanks to a goal from Mike Newton.

In the Premier Division, Horse & Jockey went head-to-head with Dock FC, who emerged 2-1 winners after goals from Mark Head and Gareth Craven. Queens Park drew 1-1 with Rock Ferry Social.

Park's scorer was Stewart Jackson while Roe Bulpin hit the net for Ferry. In Division One, Ashville Old Boys beat AFC Houlihans 3-1 at home with goals from Andy Cook, Ben Beard and Mike Ezekiel.

Houlihans' scorer was Gully Taylor.

Prenton Dell continued their winning streak after last week's cup win with a convincing 4-1 victory over Lancelyn Glenavon.

Scorers for the Dell were Danny Edwards, Kev Thompson, Steve Murphy and Andy Bolton. Andy Jones scored Glenavon's consolation.

Wirral Hundred produced a fine away win beating Tower 3-0 after goals from Adam Loftus, Ryan Okeefe and Jay Naughty.

In Division Two, Allport Athletic won 2-0 at home against FC Vaults.

Allport scorers were Alex Fewtrell and Connor Hodson. FC Ridger beat Millcroft 4-1.

Andy Davies scored a 25-yard screamer from outside the box for a Millcroft consolation.

PSV also hit four at home to send FC Ellies crashing with goals by Redmond, Blades, Chubba and Kieron Perry.

In Division Three, the top of the table clash between leaders Arrowe Park and Old Parkonians saw Old Parks drawing level on points after a 3-2 thriller.

Old Parks twice came from behind with goals from James Kirkham and Ben Kierman.

James Swindlehurst grabbed the winner to leave the title race wide open with the two sides still to meet on the last day of the season.

Arrowe Park's scorers were John Duddy & Phillip Hudson.

Rangers Breaks lost 2-1 at home against Prenton Albion.

Albion scorers were Mark Goodacre and Billy Newmanwith Ian Miller grabbing a consolation for Breaks.
