ALL four seasons were experienced weather-wise during this fixture as Laird scored late on through James Foley to earn a point.

Laird started brightly and should have taken the lead on two minutes when Joe Holt put through Jamie Henders. But he miss-kicked in front of goal, having rounded the keeper.

Holt and Mooney both had opportunities to fire the visitors ahead in the opening ten minutes, but the chances went astray.

Morton had the home team’s first chance on 11 minutes and could have put Clitheroe ahead on 24 minutes, but Potter made a lastditch tackle.

Following two substitutions on the half-hour, the home side took a hold in the game.

But a handball in the area gave Laird a penalty, with Jamie Henders driving the ball into the net.

Laird had enough chances and should have been further ahead at the half-time whistle. They paid the price in the second period as the home team came out on fire.

On 74 minutes, James Walker scored as a tiring Laird’s backline was caught by the full back.

Five minutes later, Danny Wilkins fired the home team into the lead.

Laird responded well and, with James Foley replacing Foy, strived for the second goal.

In the final minute, Holt passed inside to Foley who hit a goalbound effort which the keeper, Palfry, fumbled, the ball bouncing over him and into the net.
