VAUXHALL FC were due to play Bradford Park Avenue last Saturday, however the match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Motormen were away to Stockport County on Tuesday and this Saturday are at home to Histon.

Kick-off at Rivacre Park is 3pm.

The club needs to do some urgent maintenance jobs at the ground to meet ground grading requirements and is calling upon home supporters to help.

Vauxhalls are holding a clean-up day on this Sunday, February 9, at around 10am.

Chairman Alan Bartlam said: “We need to do some graft and the more hands the better. I am always grateful to fans who come along and help with these sort of jobs and this is certainly no different.

“We had a good turn out earlier this month, but every pair of hands makes the jobs that need attention all the easier.

“So if you can spare the time, I would be delighted to see you. Even if you can only spare an hour, it all helps.”

Work will commence finish at around 3pm. Refreshments will be provided to volunteers throughout the day with cold and hot drinks as well as food at lunch time.
