Tranmere Rovers take on Rotherham tonight
11:20am Tuesday 22nd October 2013 in Sport
TRANMERE Rovers take on Rotherham in League One action at The New York Stadium tonight.
Rovers' Boss Ronnie Moore will make at least one change to the side that started against Leyton Orient on Saturday after defender Ian Goodison picked up a three match ban for his second half red card.
The manager could put Jim McNulty in the centre of defence alongside Ash Taylor which would mean Evan Horwood comes into contention for the left back spot.
Jason Koumas returned to the squad on Saturday and is likely to be included again but James Wallace, Andy Robinson, Joe Thompson, Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro and Jason Mooney all miss out.
Tonight's game, kick off 7.45pm, will be the 68th time Rovers and Rotherham have met.
The Millers hold a 28 wins to 24 advantage, including a 2-1 victory in their last home game against Rovers at Millmoor in September 2006.
Rovers' most recent away win over the Millers was a 2-1 victory in October 1976 (Tynan and Allen), while the highest scoring match between the clubs was a 6-4 away win for Tranmere on Christmas Day 1930.
Rovers go into the game in 22nd place on the League One table with eight points from 12 games.
On the road Moore's side have picked up two wins from six games. Rotherham are currently 10th in the division with 19 points.
At home this season they have won two, drawn two and lost two.
Millers boss Steve Evans is without suspended pair Michael O’Connor and Paul Frecklington as well as David Worrall and Claude Davis who are both out due to injury.
