AN early start reduced the fleet to ten yachts when Liverpool Yacht Club/Tranmere Sailing Club staged their latest races in the Brass Monkey series on the River Mersey on Sunday.
The Beneteau First Daydream Believer owned by Jim Cartwright headed Class A with Class B going to the Hunter Impala Skukusa in the hands of Stuart Lofthouse.
The previous weekend Daydream Believer pushed Class A series leader Eazi Tiger into second place in a close finish.
Class B was again claimed by Skukusa ahead of Di-Rich.
Bateleur was the only finisher in the Venture series. A total of fifteen yachts set out in the three classes on this day.
Results:
Brass Monkey Race Six Class A: 1) Daydream Believer (J Cartwright); 2) Eazi Tiger (J Oliver); 3) Mighty Max (N Thomas).
Class B:1) Skukysa (S Lofthouse); 2) Di-Rich (A McKenna); 3) Legless (D Hughes).
Venture Class: 1) Bateleur ( - ).
Brass Monkey Race Seven Class A: 1) Daydream Believer; 2.) Mighty Max.
Class B: 1) Skukusa; 2) Clarevouyant (W Telfer); 3) Legless.
Venture Class:-1) She Fever (M Costello & partners).
There is more racing this Sunday with an early afternoon opening.
