WET and miserable conditions met the crews for the latest Liverpool Yacht Club/Tranmere Sailing Club races in the Brass Monkey Series on the River Mersey on Sunday.
A total of 12 yachts set sail and three of them did not finish.
Class A was taken by the Andrew Farrell and Andrew Napper owned Humphries 30 Bada Bing ahead of Ulula (Nick Ogden) and Daydream Believer (Jim Cartwright).
Class B went to the Hunter Impala Skukusa owned by Stuart Lofthouse with Di-Rich (Adele McKenna) second and Legless (David Hughes) third.
The next Mersey competition is scheduled for this coming Sunday with a 2pm start.
