'Outstanding' praise for Wirral primary school

ST Bridget's CofE Primary School in West Kirby has been judged 'Outstanding' in all areas following a full Ofsted inspection.

It follows two days of rigorous lesson observations, data analysis and meetings with pupils, staff, the governors and parents.

This is the first time the primary school has been judged as 'Outstanding'.

Head Teacher, Mr Neil Le Feuvre said: "I am extremely proud of this achievement for all the children, staff and families at St. Bridget's.

"We have always been a high attaining school, but it was wonderful to note that the inspectors appreciated the strong and productive relationships that we have fostered between our pupils and the myriad of adults who support the school on a regular basis.

"We are fortunate to be surrounded by very supportive children, teachers, teaching assistants, Governors, office staff, lunch time assistants, all volunteers, cleaners and many other adults.

"They are all part of what makes St.Bridget’s so special and I want to thank each of them for their contribution.

"We have now achieved exactly what we set out to do when the school first set up in 1825 and that is to give our pupils an outstanding start to their education."
