Sir David Attenborough is to take on Keith Lemon and Sherlock for a TV Bafta.

Their shows are up for the publicly-voted audience prize at the TV awards ceremony next month.

Sir David's Frozen Planet (BBC1) faces Lemon's Celebrity Juice (ITV2) and drama Sherlock (BBC1) - starring Benedict Cumberbatch - for the gong.

Also competing for the title are Educating Essex (Channel 4), comedy series Fresh Meat (Channel 4) and The Great British Bake Off (BBC2).

The shortlist was drawn up from shows that have captured the public imagination over the past year.

This year's event is being hosted by Dara O'Briain at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

The winner of the YouTube Audience Award will be announced at the Arqiva British Academy Television Awards on May 27.
