'State-of-the-art' children's play area to form part of New Brighton revamp

A NEW state-of-the-art children’s play area is set to be added to New Brighton’s revamp.
The £1.8m family entertainment centre, which will open early next year, will be the latest investment to arrive at the resort’s Marine Point.
Bubbles’ World of Play, operated by Glopplay Ltd, will occupy 21,000 sq ft in the Lido Building and will create more than 35 jobs.
Centred around "innovative play" and thought to be the largest indoor play area in the country, Bubbles will be five tiers high and invite youngsters to "explore" different parts of the world.
And Graham Robinson, managing director of Soft Brick Company Ltd, the installer of the World of Play Frame, said the project could set the tone for future play areas.
He said: "The Soft Brick company will be building not only the largest play area in the UK but one we are confident will be described as 'The Best Play Area in the World'.
"This will be a benchmark site for the next decade. It's great news for us but also a real feather in the cap for Merseyside and the children of New Brighton."
The centre will feature a Wild-West-themed cannon zone, a space rocket climb from the floor to the roof and a role play area.
The plans also include toddler facilities while parents will have the chance to learn computing skills on-site.
Daniel Hynd, project director with developer Neptune, said: "We are delighted to bring this key development to Marine Point.
"The face of New Brighton is changing, and Bubbles’ World of Play will add an extra attraction to the estate, which the operators are hoping will draw more than 200,000 visits from across the North West."
