Robinson to miss Rovers trip to Notts County
RONNIE Moore will be without Andy Robinson when Tranmere Rovers face Notts County in League One action tomorrow.
The attacking midfielder picked up a hamstring injury in the 3-1 win over Scunthorpe on Tuesday night and his place is likely to go to striker Adam McGurk.
Paul Black could join the squad for the first time after coming through Wednesday’s reserve game at Fleetwood unscathed, but defender Ian Goodison is not yet fully fit following knee surgery at the beginning of the season.
Saturday's game will be the 39th time the two clubs have gone head to head, with both teams having won 16 times.
Top-of-the-table Rovers travel to Meadow Lane with 24 points from ten games. Away from Prenton Park, they have won three and drawn two, scoring twelve goals and conceding four.
The Magpies go into the game in fourth place in the division with 18 points. At Meadow Lane they have won three matches and lost two this season, scoring nine times and conceding five.
Looking ahead to tomorrow's match, which kicks off at 3pm, Moore said: “It will be a tough old game down there.
“They’re a good side, they move it well and it’s a big pitch. But if we play anything like we played in the second half I don’t think there’s anybody in this league who can live with us.”
