Wirral man arrested fafter crossbow incident

A WIRRAL man has been arrested for allegedly having a crossbow in his home.

The 28-year-old was held on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and affray after armed police cordoned off his home with him inside.

Officers arrived at the scene in Kingsley Avenue, Eastham Rake at around 3pm on Thursday following reports of a “disturbance.”

Although no-one was injured during the incident, the area around the house was sealed off while police worked to resolve the situation.

Nearby residents were told to stay indoors while the incident took place.
