Waste plant death appears to be 'tragic accident'
9:29am Friday 7th September 2012 in News
A homeless man whose body was found at a Wirral recycling plant appears to have died in a "tragic accident", police said.
Officers were called to B & M Waste Services on Dock Road South, Bromborough, on Wednesday after a body was found while emptying bins.
A post-mortem examination found the 50-year-old, of no fixed address, died of trauma to the head consistent with crush injuries.
The site was cordoned off as officers investigated the death.
Merseyside Police said efforts were continuing to trace the man's next of kin and inform them of his death.
