Police appeal after alcohol is stolen from Wirral driver
DETECTIVES are appealing for information after a quantity of alcohol was stolen from a delivery driver in Birkenhead early this morning.
A woman had been delivering from a nearby takeaway to a property on James Street at around 1.30am when two men smashed the passenger window of the car she was driving and stole a crate of Carlsberg lager.
The woman was driving a black Smart car. She was not injured during the incident but was left shaken.
Officers are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and forensic examination has been conducted.
Officers are appealing to anyone with any information in connection with the incident, or who may have seen or heard anything around this time in the area, to call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 2265. Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
