Man arrested following 'unexplained' death in Wallasey

A MAN is being questioned by police following the discovery of a body at house in Wallasey.

Police were called to an address in King Street just after 6.20am on Sunday after reports that a man was unconscious.

The 28-year-old was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

A 39-year-old man from Wallasey was arrested and is being questioned.

The death is being treated as unexplained at this time and the scene has been sealed for forensic examination. House-to-house enquiries are underway in the area.

The man is yet to be formally identified and a post mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death.
