Katie Price gets ready to visit Wirral Katie Price gets ready to visit Wirral

AS one of the country’s most photographed celebrities, appearing on magazine covers almost every week, Katie Price is no stranger to having her life laid bare.

With her own reality TV series, autobiographies, perfume range and clothing line, there would be few households who didn’t know who the 34-year-old former glamour model was.

And hundreds of her Wirral fans are expected to flood Birkenhead this weekend when she visits the borough to promote her new novel, In The Name Of Love.

Her eighth literary offering, the book centres around sports presenter Charlie who falls for Spanish horse rider Felipe but their romance faces more than a few hurdles to survive.

And mum-of-three Katie said it was “spooky” how her fictitious characters often bear similarities to her own life.

She told the Globe: “This book is probably one of my favourites because it is very horsey and of course I love anything equestrian-related.

"It is weird though, because I will do a book and then things will come true in my own life, for example, Charlie’s love interest is Spanish and obviously I am with Leo now (Leandro Penna, Katie’s Argentinian boyfriend.) “I was also in a big accident last year with a horse and the main character suffers one so there are definitely similarities but it’s not planned that way – it just happens.”

While Katie, who split from ex-husband Peter Andre in 2009, is heavily involved with the novels, she also works with writer Rebecca Farnworth on all her fictional titles.

And she said the books’ success is down to her straight talking and to-the-point attitude.

She said: “They’re quite easy reading and I think my fans love them so much because the description is so detailed, such as what clothes or nail varnish the characters are wearing – people can relate to it then.”

She added: "I can't wait to come to Wirral, I've been to Liverpool before but never to Wirral so I'm looking forward to meeting my fans there."

Despite only being in her thirties, Katie has released a total of four tell-all autobiographies, each one acting as diary entries from her life at the time.

But she said the next instalment, which will be out later this year, will be a “must-read” - although she remained tight-lipped on who would be the centre of the revelations.

Katie added: “With my last book, You Only Live Once, I couldn’t say everything I wanted to say because I was gagged by certain people. But this time I won’t be holding anything back. That will definitely be the one to read.”

Katie will be at WH Smith, Birkenhead on Sunday, June 24 from 12pm to sign copies of In The Name Of Love.

I hear she's going to lead a parade of chavs during the Olympic opening ceremony. Lacoste caps will be de rigeur, garish tracksuits are compulsory, Staffies will be straining on their leads, Chardonnay and Kyle will screech the National Anthem from their tobacco-stained prams and Elizabeth Dook's new range of tasteless tat will be on show in the pink tent.

I find all this negativity towards Ms Price quite bad considering she is a role model for young girls especially those downtown in the Stella belt!

This woman is all i detest about britain and the media.
she is talentless,arrogant,
selfish and has got to where she is by a few boob jobs, sex tapes and expoliting her body.
some may say fair play, but i would bet in 20 years time she is nothing but a trout looking freak,on her 7th marriage, and no one will give a toss about her.
peter andre....to marry her it certainly was "insania"

I must lead a very sheltered life. I did not know that Jordon was a person let alone the very same Miss Price. However that knowledge has now helped me understand something that's puzzled me for some time. I was once told by someone that 500 Iraqi troops had entered Jordan that morning, but not to worry, the Government has announced that apart from being a bit sore, she was fine.
