THE Red Arrows will return to Hoylake later this year for the town's annual Lifeboat Open Day.
The world-famous aerobatics team will be among the attractions during the free public event on Bank Holiday Monday, August 27.
The jets were due to appear last year, but were grounded following the tragic death of one of their pilots the weekend before.
Organiser Carole Jackson said "It's a great honour for us to have the Reds displaying again at Hoylake Lifeboats Open Day."
There will also be trade stalls, simulators, and a small funfair on the promenade, along with various charity stalls, and street theatre. Lifeboats on display. Boathouse open for visitors.
Carole continued: "Last year's event raised more than £20,000 for the RNLI which was a massive achievement considering the day was cold, wet & windy!"
Despite the absence of Red Arrows, visitors were instead given a selection of aerial displays, including one from a World War II Spitfire. The world champion Mark Jefferies also performed "breathtaking" air stunts.
