A MAN and his three dogs were rescued by firefighters after his car became trapped in mudflats near a Wirral beach.
The 39-year-old and pets were in a Jeep that was stranded near Station Road in Thurstaston on Monday afternoon.
Firefighters helped them to safety and removed the vehicle from the mud along with the Coastguard.
Two fire engines from Heswall and West Kirby attended along with a rescue vehicle.
Fire crews were there for around an hour.
