DETECTIVES have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to in connection with an incident of sexual touching in Wallasey.

Officers are investigating following a report that a 16-year-old girl was assaulted by a man on November 23, as she was walking along Wheatland Lane from St Paul's Road towards Birkenhead Road at around 11.50am.

The man, who is not known to the girl, touched her inappropriately before verbally threatening her.

The girl was not injured but was left very shaken.

The man is described as 5ft 8in, with broad shoulders, very short dark hair, dark stubble and spoke with what is thought to have been an Eastern European accent.

He was wearing a dark, long sleeved top with a high visibility vest and dark workman's trousers.

Officers are appealing to the man pictured in the e-fit, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward in case he has information that is important to the investigation.

Anyone with any information can call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 2265, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
